Flourishes under bright indirect light and well-drained soil that is moist. Also thrives under high humidity.

Alocasia zebrina is a tropical plant from the rainforests of the Philippines. These rainforests are typically at a high elevation and the plants grow on a thin layer of soil over rocky terrain. This plant was over-harvested in the wild, so it is now considered rare.

Zebrinas enjoy weekly watering sessions and frequent misting, keeping their soil moist but not wet. In winter, we recommend allowing the top 2' of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. This plant is not drought tolerant, and extended periods of dryness will cause leaf edges to brown.
